A + J

Napa Valley //

The couple decided that A’s parents’ private residence, nestled in the ethereal forests of the Napa Valley, was the perfect location for this event. It was no question that they wanted their intimate, special moment to be hidden amongst the trees - in the cathedral of silence.

B + J

Indian Wells, California //

B+J’S partly chose the Palm Springs area because it has the look and feel of old Hollywood. They described their ideal New Year’s Eve wedding film as romantic, emotional, glossy, timeless and dramatic. As for how they hoped to be portrayed – they were less interested in how funny or cool they are, but more how deeply they love and care for one another. There is no doubt they did just that.

J + E

Ebell, Los Angeles //

When I shot J+E’s New Year's Eve wedding at the historic Ebell Los Angeles, you could also sense they'd found home amid their sweet and silly repartee and good/bad puns. And this wedding was a heck of way to make it official. Their story as a cross between old Hollywood rom-com and quirky indie.

M + R

Parker, Palm Springs //

“... it's gonna be so chill guys, it's gonna be so chill." That's how M+R’s officiant/friend, Michael, started off the ceremony and he couldn't have been more right. Laughter came easily to everyone involved in this beautiful desert Parker wedding. Partying also came easily to all including Mary's dad who commandeered the stage for a couple songs with his band Four Wheels & A Flat Tire. So chill, guys. So chill.

G + W

Napa Valley //

For their surprise wedding, G+W envisioned an Italian garden party, raw beauty in simple moments and an old-school family wedding. They absolutely love long lunches with delicious food and wine, so they wanted to do something different and unique to treat their guests.

C + T

Avalon, Palm Springs //

C+T knew that the wedding moments would be fleeting and it was important to them to be able to recount the memories of gathering our friends from all over the country (and elsewhere) at the Avalon Hotel for this one weekend. Chris, being a Broadway performer, made sure to have a fun, choreographed first dance that included everyone in attendance.

S + C

Private Residence, Beverly Hills //

S+C chose the home she grew up in for their wedding because it reminded her of the garden party scene in the 1954 Audrey Hepburn movie, “Sabrina”. They envisioned their wedding film to be elegant, magical, classic ... magical, not in the clichéd sense of "special" but rather unexpected, entrancing, whimsical.

E + C

Vibiana, Los Angeles //

Vibiana took their breath away. When E+C walked into their venue, they were impressed with how grand and majestic the space felt. It would fit their party perfectly – from the intimate moments of getting ready, to the choreographed first dance, to the performances by performances by Sascha Colby and Barbie’s Addiction to the fabulous outfit change.

S + S

Palm Springs Art Museum //

Their private vows were some of the most touching I’d ever been lucky enough to witness. Their transparency and genuineness were inspiring.  It set the tone for their wedding film set at the beautiful wedding at the Ritz Carlton, Rancho Mirage followed by a wonderful reception at the Palm Springs Art Museum.

S + A

Beverly Hills Hotel //

Elegant with a sprinkling of magic is how I’d describe S+A’s Beverly Hills Hotel wedding. They wanted a wedding film that felt romantic, intimate and genuine.

KIND WORDS

“From the outset it was clear that Isabel had a creativity, visual language, and storytelling talent that was special and the right fit for what we were looking for…

On the day, she made us feel comfortable and was a joy to spend time with. Beyond everything else, the product Isabel delivered was beyond our wildest dreams. The film captures the essence of our wedding day perfectly - which makes it so special to watch and be transported back and feel like we are there. It is both visually stunning and narratively beautiful as it tells our love story. Isabel has a keen understanding of what makes each individual story unique and inserts that into her work. She has perfected the classic formula and is equally proficient at coloring outside the lines. We’ll treasure her work forever. We love you Iz!”
